6/19/2011 9:21:35 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 19: To make the Chalo Srinagar State level convention of EJAC at Srinagar on June 28 a grand success, the representatives of the constituent units of EJAC Ram Kumar Sharma, Bhalwan Singh Jamwal, Babu Hussain Malik, Bharat Bhushan, Madan Singh Sangral, Sewa Ram Rathore, Rajinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh of EJAC has launched intensive campaign in four districts and held mass meetings of the representatives, activists and office bearers representing by various Departmental/ cadre organizations of Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and Reasi districts in light of the present trade union Scenario, failure of the government to honour it as a part of the agreement, broad base single united platform on principle and ethical values, and analysis of last year strike agitation April 2010.
The representative of the constituent unit of EJAC explained in detail that due to lack of unity and single platform we cannot achieve the remaining demands as the Govt. has imposed black laws ESMA to curve the trade union and democratic rights. At presently the united platform EJAC has been shattered number of EJAC/JCC small factions have no credibility and irrelevant in present times. They said it is need of the hour to formulate a single united platform of all factions of Jammu, Kashmir and Secretariat employees union on principal and ethical values and to adopt the trade union culture in the state of J&K to make the beginning of new era.
They further explained that on the other hand the J&K Govt. is sidetracking the employees issues by not implementing its agreement held between the employees representatives on 18-02-2009/ 14-5-2010 and compelling the employees for agitation for the just and genuine demands viz.
The Govt. has miserably failed to form the policy for regularization of the Daily Rated workers as per agreement govt. which was agreed on 14th May 2010 to submit the report within 6 months but failed so far, hire and fire policy of the Government regarding temporary workers and employees, this poor of the poorest section of the society. It is mockery that people 10+2 qualify to be a doctor, an engineer or a technocrat after 4 years training but a poor temporary employees and workers is not entitled for regularization as class-IV employees after even near two decades.
Government also has not issued the order of contractual and adhoc employees which were to be issued August 2009 as announced by the Government in floor of the house and 14th May 2010 cabinet sub-committee announced to issued the orders within 15 days but failed till so far.
The roadmap of the State Government employees and pensioners for the release of 6th Pay Commission arrears is totally unacceptable and to the employee that is in respect of half of the amount of arrears about the other half of the government has tried to abdicate its responsibility to Central Government. The so called roadmap rejected lock stock and barrel to all employees unions including the released arrears for the pensioners.
The representative of the constituent unit of the EJAC strongly demands from the Government to implement its agreement without further delay which can provoke the employees to adopt agitation path and to come on the streets.
