DIG inaugurates police barrack at Majalta | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, June 19: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Udhampur- Reasi Range, Jagjit Kumar, today inaugurated the Police Barrack and Lavatory Block in the premises of Police Station Majalta. The DIG said that the barrack has been constructed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh for the comfortable stay of police personnel so that they can perform their duties efficiently. He also assured that all facilities would be provided to the police personnel at their places of duty to enable them to perform their duties with dedication and build better police and public rapport. DIG said that efforts would also help to minimize hesitation of the locals to come forward to help the police department to eradicate the crime from the society. He said that the cops are responsible for bringing healthy change in the mindset of the people about the functioning of police by adopting people friendly approach in discharging of their duties in the field. On the occasion, the police personnel put forth their demands, the DIG heard them patiently and assured early redressal of the same. Among other, Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Surinder Gupta, Additional SP, Bhupinder Singh, Dy SP, Bodh Raj police personnel and locals of the area were present on the occasion.
