| 2 held for running still at Hiranagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 19: Two persons were today arrested by police at Kunday
Chak in Hiranagar, Kathua, for running an illegal still.
Police sources said acting on a tip-off, cops led by Rajbagh police
station SHO raided Kunday Chak and arrested Lakha Singh, son of
Sansar Singh, and Sanjay Singh, son of Bahadur Singh, both
residents of Kunday Chak, as they were found running a still.
The cops destroyed the still and seised 60 litres of lahan and
three litres of illicit liquor from their possession.
The accused were booked under 48 excise act. Sources said the raid
was conducted on the direction of SSP, Kathua, J L Sharma.
