Pak violates cease fire in Poonch
6/20/2011 12:21:28 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 19: In yet another incident of cease fire violation on Line of Control (LoC), Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked firing at forward Indian posts in Nakarkote area in Poonch district during wee hours of Sunday.
According to informed sources, using heavy and small weaponry, Pak army personnel targeted forward Indian posts of Bandi and Tara falling in Nakarkote area on LoC.
Firing across the border, sources said, continued for nearly forty minutes which was retaliated by the jawan of Kumaon regiments manning the two forwards posts.
"Both the sides exchanged heaving firing," sources said, while vigil on the LoC was strengthened to ensure that any infiltrator may not have entered into the Indian Territory taking advantage of firing by the Pak army.
