| Under trial dies of cancer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 19: An under trial died of cancer here in Government Medical College Hospital here today. Police sources informed that one Bhajan Lal son of Amarnath of R S Pura was arrested for allegedly committing murder of a youth some five years ago and a case under section 302 RPC was lodged against him in this connection.
While the deceased was lodged in district jail, he developed pain in his stomach and was rushed to the GMC hospital on May 26 where doctors declared him as a patient of cancer.
His treatment was in progress in GMC hospital where he died today. Police have registered a case in this connection put the body in mortuary room for post-mortem. 'The body of the deceased would be handed over to the relatives after legal formalities," a police officer said. |
