JMC continues drive against unauthorized hoardings, banners

Jammu, June 20: Under instructions from S.C Sawhney Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu, the Revenue Staff led by Assisatance Commissioner (Rev) alongwith Chief Enforcement Officer (Rev), while continuing and intensifying the drive against the unauthorized hoardings / banners undertook a drive in the areas of Bikram Chowk, BR Ambedkar Chowk, Gandhi Nagar etc., and removed the hoardings / banners which were erected / displayed by different firms / agencies upon public places.
During the drive the team seized one truck of load of such material and impounded the same in the municipal yard Town Hall, Jammu.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation appealed to the firms / agencies / establishments etc not to erect the hoardings / banners etc upon public places without permission failing which action as warranted under law shall be taken against them.
