CM offer prayers for peace and tranquility in J & K.

Kishtwar June 20:- Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Monday offered prayers peace and tranquility in the state of Jammu and Kashmir at the shrine of famous Sofi Saint Urs Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Bagdadi (RTA, the annual Urs of which is being celebrated with religious favour in Kishtwar District on Tuesday. During his visit to the shine, special prayers were organized of Administrative Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar. Immam of local Masjid offered prayers not only for the peace in Jammu and Kashmir, but also for the peaceful completion of his tenure as a Chief Minister, beside the problems he (Omar) is facing today.
In an exclusive chat on the side line of his visit to shrine of Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Bagdadi (RTA), he said that the agenda regarding the meeting with Union Home Minister P Chitambaram is not cleared yet. In a question regarding rising of issue related to amendment of AFSPA in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that he is uncertain about the kind of issues which are being raised during the course of meeting with Mr. Chitambaram.
He said that Mr. Chitambaram is expected to reach Kashmir by 5.PM today and meeting with him on security related matters will be likely held tomorrow. “I am possible meeting with Mr. Chitambaram tomorrow for a security related meet at Srinager and Mr. Chitambaram wants to held a detail security review meeting regarding Amar Nath Yatra with central security forces & K Police,etc at Phlagham.” Omar Said.
He said that it was a fact that during last year Amar Nath Yatra, there was unrest in the valley, but despite hostile situation in valley, lacs of pilgrims visit Amar Nath last year and returned unharmed.
“This year I also hope that the yatra will be good for which we are trying its level best by the grace of the Almighty Allah, the things will passed peacefully.” Omar added. He said that due to heavy snow fall, it is an uphill task to clear the road link up to Phalgham and on wards. “ We wasn’t able to open the road link upto Phalgham so far and hope as the time passes, the snow starts melting, we will be able to expedite our efforts for clearance of Amar Nath track.” Omar Abdullah said.
Omar Abdullah also attended the marriage ceremony of Muneeb Saroori, the son of Senior Congress leader and Ex R & B Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori. Omar participation seems to be a positive step for sacked R & B Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori for his possible re-induction into the council of ministers, the expansion of Cabinet in Jammu and Kashmir is expected any time next month. Omar was accompanied by Speaker J & K Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone, Minister of Rural Development Ali Mohammad Sagar,District President NC Kishtwar Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo, MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo,Ex MLA Inderwal Qazi Jalal Din, officials of District Administration and others
