Jammu, June 22: Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Junior Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Virat Cricket Club by six wickets in the first round tie.
Earlier, batting first, Virat Club made 100 runs in given 20 overs for the loss of six wickets. Amit (21), Ankit (18) and Satish (18) were main contributors. Davinder was most successful bowler from Junior Khalsa with two wickets while Prithi Pal, Gagan and Harinder shared apiece each.
In reply, Junior Khalsa chased the total making 101 runs in 17.4 overs for four wickets. Gurpreet and Puneet played unbeaten innings of 31 and 10 runs respectively. Gagan added 30 runs. Manpreet claimed two wickets from Virat Club.
