Niaz demands completion of Bhaderwah-Chamba road | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BHADERWAH, 21 June: Former Minister and MLA Bhaderwah Mohammad Sharief Niaz demanded that work on Bhaderwah-Chamba road be speed up as the completion of this road is vital for tourism promotion in the area. Addressing a felicitation function of newly elected Sarpanches and Panches at Bhaderwah Dak Bungalow, Niaz said that more than 90 percent of the Congress workers have emerged victorious in the just concluded Panchayat elections. He said that victory of such a large number of Congress workers in the Panchayat elections is a clear indication that party has strengthened its base in Bhaderwah assembly segment. Pointing towards problems being faced by the locals, he demanded that over 30 kilometers belt from Hadal Barai to Shindra area in the right bank of Neeru Nullah has been confronting with the acute scarcity of drinking water. He demanded that water supply should be streamlined in this belt to minimize hardship being faced by the people. He further demanded that Bhaderwah to Kailash Kund road, Bhaderwah to Seoz cable car project should be approved to boost tourism in this area. He reiterated his demand that Bhaderwah-Bani road should be made functional for big vehicle. He said that completion of this road would boost tourism. Niaz said that the restoration work of Bhaderwah fort and its conversion into a museum is going on very slow despite shifting of the jail from the complex.
