| Madan inspects flood control measures along Chenab River | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 21: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma today conducted an extensive tour of rural areas of Akhnoor Tehsil falling on the right side of the Chenab River and inspected the flood Control preparedness ahed of rainy season.
Accompanied by Chief Engineer Flood Control & Irrigation Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, SDM Ashok Sharma, XEN PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, BDO Akhnoor, the Member Parliament visited Sangrampur, Jwanjwan and Devipur, Sitrial-Chak Sikander and other villages and issued on spot instructions to the concerned officers to complete the on-going flood protection works at the vulnerable places so that the fertile land can be saved from the fury of Chenab floods. He also exhorted for erecting durable structure which can withstand the floods across the Chenab.
