| FORCE felicitated the presidents | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 21: Forum of Recognised Colleges (FORCE) organised felicitation function to felicitate the outgoing presidents of the FORCE.
Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Higher Education was the chief guest and Prof Varun Sahni, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu was the guest of honour.
Abdul Gani Malik, while speaking on the occasion appreciated the FORCE, especially S Harbans Singh, President for organising felicitation function for the first time to felicitate the former presidents of the Forum who have given their full cooperation and contribution for strengthening the forum and also worked for the overall development of the colleges working in affiliation with the University of Jammu.
While appreciating the functioning of the Private colleges he said that Government of Jammu and Kashmir remained supportive to these institutions and is also thinking of giving more incentives and facilities for their smooth functioning with the spirit that these institutions will be able to provide the education to the students in more effective way. He also complimented the former presidents of the force, honored in today's function.
While giving his remarks, Prof Varun Sahni, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu congratulated Gulchain Singh Charak, Dr Arun Gupta and R .S Chib, the outgoing presidents of the force, who have been honored, for their contribution in their respective tenure of presidentship and said that University of Jammu is also committed with the quality education and with this purpose the private sector is being focused for the above cause.
Earlier, while welcoming the distinguished guests, S Harbans Singh, President, Forum of Recognised colleges, while appreciating the contribution of University of Jammu, said that especially in the tenure of Professor Varun Sahni, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, University succeeded to establish its repute at the global level in the field of not only in academics but in other curricular and co-curricular activities.
Others who also spoke on the occasion included Dr Arun Gupta and Dr Rajive Gupta.
