Pawan Cricket: 43-run win for AFCC Jammu

AKHNOOR, June 21: The AFCC Jammu and Sunderbani Club won their respective matches to consolidate their position in the ongoing 3rd Pawan Memorial (Twenty20) Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club here today.
In the first match of the day, AFCC Jammu defeated Sarwal Cricket Club (SCC) Jammu by 43 runs. Batting first, AFCC made 183 runs for nine. Ankur was highest scorer with 23-ball 49 runs including two sixes and four boundaries while Jaswinder and Yudhvir contributed 28 and 31 runs respectively. From SCC, Sushant clinched three wickets while Nikhil and Sahil shared two each.
In reply, SCC bowled out for 140 runs in 18 overs with Raghu (33 off 27 balls) being top scorer. Rishi and Vishal added 19 and 17 runs respectively. Skipper, Romy clinched three wickets, followed by Love who bagged two. Ankur, Atul, Gagan and Sanju shared apiece each.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Sunderbani Cricket Club (SCC) registered a 23 runs win over Wolves Cricket Club (WCC) Jammu.
Earlier, SCC set a target of 136 runs after winning the toss and decided to bat first. Jasbir remained top scorer with 30 runs while Vinod and Atul contributed 15 and 11 runs respectively. Nitish and Amulya took two wickets each from WCC.
Later, despite brilliant innings played by Rishi (60 off 34 balls, 4x6, 4x4), WCC could make only 112 runs in 18 overs losing all their wickets. Shallav was second highest run getter with 14 runs. From SCC, Shankar Negi and Sudershan took two wickets each.
Today’s matches were officiated by Jimy Magotra, Vikas Bali, Chander Kiran, Ashok Kumar as umpires while Lucky was scorer.
