BRO should clear snow on Amarnath cave shrine route: VHP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Demanding intervention of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in facilitating speedy clearance of snow from twin tracks to Amarnath cave shrine, VHP today said that Border Road Organisation (BRO) should be given the task. "We demand that BRO should be given the task to clear the snow from twin tracks to cave shrine of Amarnath from Pahalagam and Baltal sides on war-footing", VHP State Chief Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today. He criticised Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) for slow pace of track clearance and said "We want Chidambaram to ask the Jammu and Kashmir government and Board to clear the tracks at the earliest." Dubey also demanded constitution of a special panel headed by an Army officer to smoothly conduct the yatra. VHP state chief said that Baba Amarnath Niyas has today dispatched 11 trucks carrying foods and eatables and community kitchen material for setting up community kitchens in Baltal Amarnath areas from Jammu.Amarnath yatra will start from June 29 and will conclude on August 13.Over 2.25 lakh pilgrims have registered themselves for the pilgrimage to the 13,500-feet high cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas
