Raju remanded to police custody for 5 days Simblia

jammu: Duty Magistrate Jammu Sandeep Gandotra today granted five day police custody remand of Rajinder Singh alias Raju Simblia who was produced before the Court by Sunil Jasrotia Inspector/SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu with prayer for remanding the accused to police custody for a period of 10 days.
The accused came to be arrested on June 18, 2011 as he is involved in FIR NO 107/2006 for offences 302/396/120-B/203/109/201 RPC in much publicized brutal murder of cement tycoon RB Chopra, his wife Madhu Chopra, his daughter Solani Chopra, Driver Jagan Nath and Sonu House Servant.
While granting police remand of Raju Simblia, court said that in view the gravity of alleged offences and also the fact that the investigation of the case in respect of accused Raju Simblia is yet at initial stage; prayer of the police is accepted and accused is remanded to police custody for five days i.e. June 25, 2011 when he shall be produced before the Competent Court of law.
Court also directed SHO P/S Bahu Fort that accused shall be medically examined after every 24 hours and in case accused requires any specialized medical treatment concerned SHO shall ensure the same.
It is worth mentioning here that Rajinder Singh alias Raju Simblia was produced in the Court for recording his statement u/s 164-A CrPC in which Raju Simblia disclosed before the Court that he was in that meeting which was held in the house Former NC MLC Tirlochan Singh alias Tallo where the conspiracy was hatched for eliminate the RB Chopra along with his family.
