Cop's son among 2 held for stabbing student | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 22: Two persons, including a police Headconstable's son and kin of an ex-minister, were today apprehended by police from the general bus stand here for allegedly stabbing a government polytechnic college student. Mohammad Amin, a government polytechnic college student, was yesterday allegedly stabbed by Mukhtiyar Ahmad alias Wasim of Mahore and Tanvir Ahmad Khan of Mendhar, Poonch, at Bikram Chowk yesterday. The duo fled the scene soon after the incident. Amin was later admitted to the GMC hospital by police. While Wasim worked as a driver in Mumbai, Tanvir was said to be pursuing his MBBS studies, according to police sources.The accused, who were putting up in a rented house at Chhanni Rama, were today arrested by police from a bus at general bus stand. A case was registered against them at the Ware House police post. |
