Separatist friendly UPA stifling voice of patriotism: Singh
Visa denial outrageous, says Shah Nawaz

Early Times Report
Jammu, June 22: A day after BJP chief spokesperson Dr Jitendra Singh was denied visa by US embassy debarring him traveling to Washington, the BJP national leadership has termed this as outrageous saying no such restrictions were faced by separatist leaders from Kashmir by US or any other country and the nationalist leaders with clean image are being made to face such obstacles without any reason.
“ It was absolutely outrageous that when separatist leaders from Kashmir were promptly provided visa to travel to USA and other countries, unwarranted restriction was imposed on the travel of Dr. Jitendra Singh who was to present nationalist viewpoint on sensitive issues relating to Jammu and Kashmir as well India's crucial foreign relations with Pakistan, China and other countries”, said Shah Nawaz Hussain, national spokesperson of the BJP while addressing media over the issue at New Delhi.
“This also raises a serious question mark on the functioning of Congress-led UPA government at the centre and Congress-National Conference coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir which control the agencies providing inputs regarding leaders travelling abroad”, alleged Hussain and warned that such incidents send wrong signals among the nationalistic and patriotic sections. He also informed that the party has decided to take up the issue at highest level with the American Embassy authorities as well as Government of India.
The national leadership of BJP has already taken a serious note of the manner in which the party National Executive Member and its Chief Spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Jitendra Singh was at the last moment denied visa and debarred from travelling to Washington as a member of the high profile eight member BJP delegation to attend an interactive meet organised by "International Republican Institute" and Republican party of America from 20 June.
Dr. Jitendra Singh who also addressed media said that such intimidatory tactics at the behest of separatist friendly UPA would not be able to discourage the BJP struggle to hold aloft the flag of nationalism in Jammu and Kashmir. "We are ready to take up this challenge", said Dr. Jitendra Singh and added that in the months to come the BJP campaign against separatist friendly policies of the Congress and its allies will be pursued with greater vigor.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir will not allow any such design to succeed which tries to stifle the voice of patriotism or weaken the relationship of the state with the Indian union either physically of psychologically.
