JYF alleged JKCA of financial bungling, demands enquiry | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 22: In a press conference held here Sandeep Singh Chib President JYF demanded CBI enquiry in the financial bungling taking place in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
He blamed JKCA chairman, Mohammad Aslam Goni for pressurizing some working committee members of JKCA from affiliated government institutions to vote in his favour during the working committee meeting to be held on June 23 at Srinagar.
Sandeep Singh Chib President JYF took a strong note of the tall claims made by the chairman with regard to initiating development work of the proposed Cricket Stadium at Bajalta, Jammu in the first week of June and failing in the same.
He further said that no such initiative has yet been taken by the JKCA and added that Jammu has always been neglected by the authorities and the same is happening again, as JKCA has established Cricket Academy in Kashmir and nothing in Jammu. For that matter, nothing positive has so far been done by the chairman of JKCA, who, otherwise, talks high of the works done by him for good health of the association, he added.
The members present in the press conference said that Goni was pressuring voters from government institutions to vote in his favour in order to reign the kingdom and rule the roost yet again.
However, they advised such voters not to scum under any kind of pressure. Ridiculing JKCA for financial bungling, the JYF members demanded CBI enquiry in the matter at an earliest to save the association from getting spoiled and soiled.
Meanwhile, the JYF members appealed the JKCA president, Dr Farooq Abdullah and the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to look into the matter seriously and save the association from hijackers, who are hell-bent upon to defame the organization and spoil it in the dirt of politics. They further demanded secret ballot for holding JKCA elections smoothly and successfully at Srinagar on June 23.
Among those who were present in the press conference included Sonu Kumar, Imran, Rocky, Surinder Singh, Jyoti Sharma, Renu Sharma, Atul Gupta and others.
