DDC reviews achievements at DLRC meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAMBAN, June 23: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today reviewed the progress in key areas of deposits and advance for the quarter ending March 2011 under Annual Credit Plan 2010-11 at DLRC meeting attended by the Bankers and district officers of various departments of district.
Lead District Manager, SBI, Udhampur, Kishore Sadhotra, the representative from RBI, Chief Planning Officer, Project Officer, DRDA, General Manager DIC, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, BDOs of various blocks, heads of various banks and various other district functionaries attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Lead District Manager revealed that various banks have advanced Rs.34.41 crore amongst 1682 beneficiaries in the district against a yearly target of Rs.22.30 crore under priority sector advances up to ending March 2011 registering an overall achievement of 154 %. He said banks have so far disbursed Rs.22.04 crore under SME and services sector to 896 beneficiaries. Further, the banks have also provided Rs.9.73 crore under non priority sector advances during the year.
Total deposits of the district were recorded at Rs.522.30 crore and advances Rs.99.93 crore as on March 31 2011 and the C:D Ratio of the district has been only 19 % for which the DDC and Lead District Manager expressed grave concern and advised all the banks to improve the ratio adequately by financing bigger projects in the area.
Lead District Manager apprised the house about the significance of Dairy Entrepreneur Development Scheme of NABARD and requested Animal Husbandry Department and the banks to make people aware about the benefits of the scheme.
