| 2 returning officers suspended for flouting rules | | | EARLYTMES REPORT
POONCH, June 22
The District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) (Deputy Commissioner) Poonch, has put returning officer Panchayat halqa Qasaba Rajnheet Singh (Lecturer) and Returning Officer Panchayat halqa Arai Malikan S K Bali (Dy Director Floriculture) under suspension for not following the legal procedure as laid down in the hand book of Returning Officer and creating law and order problem on the day of polling in their respective areas of Jurisdiction.
The officers have been suspended on the basis of reports received from different sources and scrutiny of the records, including the prescribe Hand Book and the result sheets.
It has been found from the working of the erring officers that they have floated the prescribed rules and remained casual during the training sessions.
