Foundation stone of Community hall in Peerkho laid

Jammu, June 22: Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Jammu East Constituency Ashok Khajuria, alongwith District President Rajesh Gupta, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Community Hall in the premises of Peerkho with the blessings of Mahant Ramnath ji and in presence of a large number of prominent figures of the city.
Ashok Khajuria while speaking on the occasion said that the long pending demand of the sadhu samaj and Kashyap Rajput biradari will be fulfilled soon after the construction of this much awaited community hall.
He said this place is visited by thousands of people every day not from the Jammu city but the pilgrims who come for the holy darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi too love to pay their obeisance at Peerkho.
The number of people visiting Peerkho is going up with each passing day. This centuries old religious place has very special religious importance and in view of the large number of flow of pilgrims, it becomes imperative on our part to do whatever possible for making available the facilities. He said that an amount of rupees thirty lakh will be spent on it and after completion it will obviously become an asset for Peerkho complex.
Rajesh Gupta said that our Jammu city, which is also known as the city of temples, has many old and important religious destinations not only of Hindus but Muslims, Sikhs and Christians and we all should work towards maintaining their sanctity besides utilizing our resources for their development and preservation. He expressed hope that this project will be completed in the shortest possible period and serve the people visiting here.
Besides Director Tourism Robin Singh Mehta and senior officials of various departments, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Karan Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Sunil Dogra, Kuldeep Kandhari, Ram Lobhaya, Chaman Lal, Dalip Gupta, Dhan Saroop Gulshan Mahajan, Raju Khajuria, Pardeep Langeh and Nitu were present on this auspicious occasion.
