Punitive steps against non performers teachers: Peer Zada | Govt. has special focus on educationally backward areas. | | Asif Iqbal Naik EARLY TIMES REPORT Kishtwar June 22:- Justifying the report of financial Commissioner, Peer Zada Mohammad Syed Minister for Education and Public Enterprises during his interactions with High Secondary School Principals, ZEO’s & Headmasters in the premises of Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar termed Kishtwar along with Ramban and Doda as educationally most backward Districts and said that Coalition Govt. have special focus for the educationally backward Districts of Jammu and Kashmir like Kishtwar. He said that Union Government headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and state coalition Govt. headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah are committed for upliftment of education standard of hilly and backward areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Government under centrally sponsored scheme Rishtraya Madamic Siksha Abyan ( RMSA) will upgrade the Middle Schools High School and each High School will be provided with 13 teachers under RMSA. He said that after successful implementation of Serva Siksha Abyan, the overall literacy of the state have increased and Kishtwar District have witness increase of 15.24% in last 10 years. He said that Government is committed to provide necessary staff and infrastructure to newly created/upgraded school and said that plan is being workout to appoint teachers for these upgraded school on the pattern of ReT with graduation as qualification bar. He shows his unhappiness over two years delay in formation of ReT panels in Kishtwar district and directed the CEO to finalize the same within next few weeks in a transparent manner, so that the court stays could be minimized so that shortage of staff in rural schools could be overcome. He also issued direction to concerned officer for immediate detachments of teachers working in various offices. He said that the prime job of the teacher is to provide education to children’s, who are the future of our nation. He also shows his unhappiness for less percentage of results in Government Schools and said that Government has decided to take punitive action against the teacher for non performance. He said as a punitive step, firstly the increment of the teacher will be stopped and if even than the level of performance remains same, the Government will also considered the termination of the teachers found guilty of non performance. He also directed CEO Kishtwar to considered transfer of ZRP;s and CRP,s completed more than one year. He said that monitoring of school functioning is an important thing to check the performance of day to day schooling and directed Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, CEO, Dy.CEO and ZEO’s for regular visits to schools, so that absenteeism culture could be check. Peer Zada Mohammad Syed was accompanied by MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and Director School Education Jammu Gulzar Ahmed Kurashi. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hussain Malik presented the vote of thanks and stressed for strengthening of education system in Kishtwar District. He assured the Honorable minister for implementation of all directions issued by him in letter and spirit.
