USTA held meet | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, June 22: J&K United School Teacher’s Association held a press conference in which the association members highlighted various problems being faced by it. Hari Singh, Banarsi Dass Sharma, Dr. Sashipal Singh, provincial president, vice president and district president, addressed the conference. The representatives of J&K united school teachers association (USTA) highlighted the failure of the Chief Education Officer, Kathua to honour its agreement on modifications of unjustified transfer orders. Provincial President Hari Singh strongly criticized the CEO Kathua as he not only ignored the valuable suggestions of District Development Commissioner Kathua, Zahida khan for ending the stalemate but also befooled the teaching community by not making modification till date. It is pertinent to mention that CEO Kathua transferred some of his known people to very suitable whereas masters with serious ailments, handicapped , at the verge of retirement and those who already served in remote districts like Doda, Banihal, Rajouri etc are repeatedly transferred to far flung areas of district Kathua. Even female masters are not spared. District president Dr Sashipal Singh appealed director school education Jammu commissioner cum secretary education department and honorable minister for education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed to personally intervene into the matter and hold enquiry for making norm less transfers.
