| Panthers condemn police action on Poonchi, his supporters | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 22:
Panthers Party has lambasted the police action on the conclusive day of the agitation of Satish Poonchi where SDPO concerned manhandled the ladies sitting on the dharna and forced them to leave the spot.
Addressing media persons here today, Vice President Young Panthers Pushvinder Singh castigated the state government and police administration for lathi charging and manhandling the protestors who were sitting on a peaceful dharna at Satwari Chowk.
He said that police at the night swung into action and cane charged the protestors and forcibly lifted Satish Poonchi who was sitting on fast unto death at Satwari and took him to the GMC Jammu and left him.
He questioned that if they were not supposed to give treatment to Poonchi then what was the fun of lifting him from dharna where he was sitting in the support of unemployed youth, home guards and many others.
Pushvinder declared that Panthers party has given un-conditional and full support to those who were sitting on dharna for their demands and said that panthers party will stand by the shoulders anywhere, anytime and any cost.
