| People of Hidyal Kishtwar facing acute water sacristy. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar June 23:- People of Hidyal village on the outskirt of Kishtwar District having the population of more than 3000 souls complaint about the acute shortage of drinking water in village Hidyal and its adjoining areas. In this connection a delegation of more than 200 people called on the officials of PHE Sub Division Kishtwar and demands for regular drinking water supply. The people complaint that since last more than two months, there is acute shortage of drinking water, despite the fact that Hidyal village is situated only 2 kilometers away from District Headquarter Kishtwar, beside this the office of PHE Division Kishtwar is also situated inside the said village. People alleged that due to illegal connection to some blue eyed people out of the main supply to village is the main cause behind dropping water pressure in main supply line. The villagers said that in case the problems of the common people could not be solved, they will choose an agitating path to press for their demands.
Meanwhile the PHE officials assured the villagers for regular drinking water supply to the village and said that due to heavy rush on the eve of Urs Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Bagdadi (RTA), the department have shifted most of the water supply for providing drinking water facility to over 40000 visiting pilgrims as a result of which the problem erupts. They assured the visiting delegation that their problem will be solved and seek a time of day or two for restoration of water supply to the effected village.
