JJHCS hails Deputy Chief Minister | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 23: Jammu Journalists Housing Cooperative Society (JJHCS) today hailed the statement of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand that the government is contemplating to set up housing colonies for legislators, media persons and economically weaker sections in the twin capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar. In a meeting of its executive members held here today, the members of Jammu Journalists Housing Cooperative Society appreciated the keen interest of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand for setting up housing colony for the journalists of Jammu as assured by him particularly on the floor of the House that Jammu journalists will soon get housing colony. “Since the demand of housing Colony for Jammu journalists has been the long pending demand, now the Journalists fraternity was pinning high hopes on the coalition government and hope that the demand would be taken up on priority”, they members maintained. The members said that at present no housing colony was developed either by JDA or by Housing Board in Jammu so their demand was genuine and it should be considered at the earliest as per existing policy (Housing Policy 2004) and norms.
