| Home guards, unemployed engineers suspend their agitation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 23: All Jammu and Kashmir Home Guard Welfare Association and All J&K Unemployed Engineers Association today decided to suspend their agitation after the assurances by the administration that their demands would be addressed within 25 days.
In a joint meeting held today which was addressed by social activist Satish Poonchi said that Additional D.C Sheetal Nanda had given a written assurance that government will solve the demands of the both the organisations within 25 days.
Those who were present on the occasion include, Kamla Sharma, president All J&K Home Guard Welfare Association, Ajay Kumar Mehra, chairman All J&K Unemployed Engineers Association, Harjeet Singh president, Akali Dal.
Others who were present on the occasion included Purshvinder Singh, youth president Panther party, Rajeev Mahajan, president Shri Ram Sena and Karnail Singh, Dharmuth Trust and Nazdoor Sangh Union.
