6/23/2011 10:02:13 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua , June 23: The protest dharna of Female Multipurpose Health Workers has entered into 10th day against the health department and district kathua administration for holding the bungling in the selection of FMHW under the National Rural Health Mission.
The protestors blamed the entire health department for adopting the policy of favourism and ignored the deserving and needful candidates.
The protest dharna has gained tremendous support from common man and various social and political parties. The International Democratic Party and Mahila Adhikar Sangthan also came forward in support of FMPHW’s protest dharna and along with various leaders of the Mahila Adhikar Sangthan’s district president Priti Sharma warned the both health department and the district administration to face the dire consequences if the problems of the protesting people are not solved as soon as possible.
She said that when the bungling happened last year during the selection of the FMPHW under NHRM in district Kathua then also along with the ignoring applicants a protest dharna was staged but at that time the DC Kathua of that time Sanjeev Verma personally intervened into the matter and accepted that the justice would be done with all the candidates but nothing has been done so far in this direction even the matter is also brought into the notice of new DC Kathua Zahida Khan who gave the assurance to address the problems of the FMPHW but nobody till date has come to take the notice on ongoing protest dharna.
In the protest dharna Sunita, Vaishano, Meenakshi, Rajani, Monica, Neeraj and Santosh were present.
