Kisan- Mazdoor Union mull Gupta’s name for cabinet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, June 23: President Kisan- Mazdoor Union district Doda, Yog Raj Sharma has appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to induct minister in the Cabinet from minority community from District Doda. For the last so many years, no public representative (MLA, MLC) from the minority community has been inducted into any ministry in the erstwhile district Doda. The minority community is feeling deprived of their genuine right. Prime Minister & UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi was strongly urged to consider the matter seriously and sympathetically while inducting MLC Naresh Gupta at least as a minister of state into the ministry. Sharma said that he is sober, highly a qualified law graduate, experienced and energetic and will come up to the expectations of the minority community. The public of minority community of district Doda whose population is more than 45% thank the UPA government that after independence a MoC, is nominated from minority community from District Doda. They demanded that MLC, Naresh Gupta be inducted in the ministry to represent the 45% population of Minority community of District Doda. Sharma also drew attention of Chief Minister and Rural Development Minister towards a nefarious practice going on in Tehsil Thathri. The hundred days guarantee scheme is being grossly mis-utilized. No doubt job cards have issued to some people but they have not been provided any job. It has been reliably learnt that they are provided job for 4/5 days but are shown on the record to have done work for a month and the payment of remaining 25/26 days gets distributed among the officials.
