JMC clears 49 building permission cases

JAMMU, June 23: Under the chairmanship of S C Sawhney Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu, a meeting of Building Operation Controlling Authority was held today.
In the meeting the building permission cases were examined and 49 (forty nine) building permission cases were cleared. The other members of Building Operation Controlling Authority besides Joint Commissioner (Adm) and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation attended the meeting. The building permissions cases cleared today shall generate revenue of Rs. 7.00 lacs (seven lacs) for Jammu Municipal Corporation.
All the persons whose building permission cases have been approved are requested to deposit the building fees in the Jammu Municipal Corporation and get the approved building plans. In case of any difficulty they may contact Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Besides this, the enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer alongwith police force continued the drive to clear the footpaths / pavements and part of road sides etc in the areas of Parade, Moti Bazar, Rani Park, Dhounthly, Panjthirthi, Rehari Chungi etc.
During the drive the goods /articles like racks, drums, utensils, benches, tyres, counters, crates, chairs, baskets, sign boards etc which were kept by shopkeepers/ vendors on the footpaths, pavements and parts of roads in these areas were seized. The team also seized the polythene carry bags from the shopkeepers / vendors in these areas and charged Rs. 900 as fine from the defaulters who were using the polythene carry bags.
