Training of DRP’s on ASHA module 6 and 7 concludes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 23: 14 days training of District resource persons (DRP’S) in Home Base New Born Care on ASHA module 6 & 7, concluded. The training was attended and supervised by Dr. Yashpal Sharma Mission Director NRHM J&K state, besides Dr. Manisha Malholtra Assistant commissioner and Dr. Padam Khanna from the Ministry Health and Family Welfare Government of India. 25 participants from District Leh and Kargil i.e. Doctors, CHOs, Nurses, LHVs, FMPHWs attended the training .The training is based on to develop the skills, knowledge of the trainees to further train the ASHAs in the villages, so that mothers and children who are at risk can be managed in the hospitals as well as at home. Besides to control the diseases which are badly affecting the general population. The valedictory function was chaired by Tsering Angchuk District Development commissioner (Chairman District Health Society) NRHM Leh. The DDC Leh stressed upon the trainees to work with dedication and educate and orient all the medical professionals and general masses so, that maternal mortality rate and IMR is decreased. Leh and Kargil being the high focus districts need special attention and care in patient health care.The function was attended by Dr.Dolma Tsering CMO Leh, Dr. Mushtaq Dar DNO Kashmir, Dr. Tsering Motup Dy CMO, Leh, Sadiq Khan and Rakesh Sharma state trainers from state health society J&K National Rural Health Mission. The training was conducted at Mahabodhi International Mediation Centre Leh-Ladakh.
