| 6 helpers picked up for questioning, more arrests likely | | Rajouri police preparing ultras aide list | | Amit Sharma

RAJOURI, June 23: In order to intensify surveillance on the ultras operating in Rajouri district, police has initiated targeting the close aide of ultras who are providing every support to them. In this regard, police has lifted atleast 6 Over Ground Workers (OGW) from different places of Rajouri who are being questioned at undisclosed locations.
As per sources, police has decided to crack ultras network in Rajouri by cracking ultras-civilian bond. In this regard sources said that police prepared a list of close aide of militants in whole district and they are lifting them one by one for questioning.
Sources said that a police team has lifted two women of Darhal area of Rajouri who are allegedly having connection with the ultras. Sources said that along with these two women a man has also been picked up for having links with ultras. Police sources said that these women are allegedly providing help to the militants and there was compliant against them. Sources said that another team of police has picked up two OGW from Chatyar village of Rajouri who are also having some association with the ultras.
As per sources, police has also picked up an OGW from Laam area of Nowshera who are being questioned for allegedly helping the ultras. Besides these cases sources said that police is also gathering information about the remaining OGWs working in Rajouri and police is going to nab some more like minded in the coming days.
When contacted, Assistant Superintendent of Police Choudhary Shabir Ahmed confirmed that they have picked up 6 persons to investigate their association with the ultras. He said that police has already intensified vigil on the ultras and now police is going to crack networks of ultras by cracking OGW-ultras bond. |
