EARLY TIMES RFEPORT JAMMU, June 23: An oil manufacturer is alleged to be illegally using the brand name of an established unit to sell his product, "disobeying" a court directive. M/s Jammu Oil Mills, owned by Rakesh Kumar, sells its products under Bhangra brand name. He had complained to authorities concerned, alleging that M/s J K Oil Mill had been misusing his brand name by making minor changes in the trade mark.He later approached the court of 1st additional district judge, Jammu, for permanent prohibitory injunction, restraining the J K Oil Mill to use the trade mark and trade label. After that, he also moved high court. In his directive, Justice Hasnain Massodi had passed an interim order on May 23 last, directing the J K Oil Mill to refrain from making use of the trademark registered with them till next date of hearing. It has been alleged that the J K Oil Mill continues to "misuse" the trade mark and trade label of Jammu Oil Mills. A written complaint was also lodged by Rakesh with Bari Brahmana police station SHO in this regard. The copies of the complaint were also forwarded to DIGP, Jammu Range, director, CA&PD, Jammu, director, drug and food control, president, chamber of commerce and industry, and chairman, Bari Brahmana Industries Association
