| Six injured in grenade blast in north Kashmir | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Jun 24: Six people were injured, two of them seriously, in a grenade blast at Sopore, about 55 km from here in north Kashmir this afternoon. Official sources said suspected militants hurled a hand grenade near police station at Sopore this afternoon. However, the grenade exploded on the roadside causing injuries to six people. The injured were shifted to local hospital from where two of them were referred to Srinagar in a critical condition. A massive hunt has been launched to arrest the militants responsible for the attack. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility, they said. The apple township of Sopore witnessed highest number of militancy-related incidents during 2011, including killing of two sisters by gunmen. |
