| Bungling in kerosene supply in Kathua: SOIL | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 24: There is heavy loot and bungling over the kerosene oil in the district Kathua by the Kerosene dealers, it was stated by the vice president of SOIL Ram Paul Sharma.
He said that common man gets very low quantity of kerosene oil from the dealer and the major hidden quantity of kerosene oil goes to black marketers.
He said that the concerned department Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution is still silent over the smuggling and black marketing of the Kerosene oil and no person from the office can be seen to take strict check up and inspection of the kerosene oil depot.
He said while the Directorate of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution has directed all the district level kerosene depot holders to follow the some important instructions like that all the dealers must display sign board prominently also indicating the stock position, rate and scale.
To reveal the list of families attached with kerosene depot for the transparency,all the dealers have to maintain sale register, mentioning the name of ration card and quantity of kerosene oil. And it is strictly said by the department if any kerosene oil dealer found violating the above terms and condition will be liable for action under the relevant provision of essential Act. This may include cancellation of license.
Inspite all these norms the kerosene dealers are not caring and plundering the kerosene of the general consumers by black marketing.
