| JKGB organized awareness programme on Financial Inclusion with NABARD | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 24: For the objective of providing greater Financial Inclusion to the unbanked people, J&K Grameen Bank has organized one day Awareness programme at village Amb block Bhalwal Tehsil with NABARD Financial assistance and support.
Jia Lal Sharma, Director Horticulture Jammu, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the Awareness programme in an impressive function. While speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the initiatives taken by the bank in Financial Inclusion programme and also in rural development through Institutional credit.
He also highlighted the scheme and programmes of the Horticulture Department especially for the kandy belt of the area and impressed upon the farming community to take the benefits of these schemes and avail subsidy provided by the Department.
Sanjay Kumar Manager NABARD , while speaking on the occasion, impressed upon the gathering to come forward to open the accounts in JKGB and avail benefits from the various schemes of the bank so that the large chunk of population living below the poverty line can join the main stream.
He outlined the various schemes of the NABARD for the benefit and betterment of farmers. He impressed upon the gathering to take the benefits of KCC and other schemes of the Bank
Madam Savita Singh Officer from NABARD recited a poem on the occasion which was applauded by the gathering.
H.S Samyal Area Manager Jammu, while speaking on the occasion, he explained the Financial Inclusion concept and said that bank is regularly organizing such type of programmes for imparting education to the general masses more particularly to the financially excluded people.
Arun Kumar Gupta Chief of Audit and Inspection , JKGB presented vote of thanks to the government officials and general public for attending the programme and making it a grand success .
