Punjab Police arrested Jammu youth for ‘creating’ porn videos of Amritsar girl | Cyber Crime in city | | Sumit Sharma Jammu, June 24: Punjab police have arrested a Nanak Nagar based youth for making porn video of an Amritsar based girl. The youth identified as Ankur Gulati son of Rakesh Gulati of Sector 10, Nanak Nagar used a girl’s photographs, which were uploaded on her facebook account for making porn videos. The cyber crime came to limelight when a 26 years old Amritsar based girl (identity withheld for valid reasons) received obscene emails and porn videos in her e mail account sent by Jammu youth. She lodged a complaint with the Verka Chowk police station, Amritsar. Acting on a complaint, a Punjab police team from Amritsar with the assistance of Gandhi Nagar police conducted a raid in early hours at the residence of the accused youth identified and arrested him. The Amritsar police comprised of six police personnel led by Sub Inspector Parvez Chopra later took the youth with them to Amritsar for interrogation. A case under section 384,354,406,420 Indian Penal Code (IPC) under FIR NO 144/2011 stood registered against the accused in police station Verka Chowk. Official sources giving information said that Gulati after copying the face book photos of girls mixed them with the porn videos thereby creating morphed images. He then used to hack into the mail ids after having secured the passwords and send the same with the intention to black mail them. After going through his laptop police searched the IDs of more than 1500 account holders besides numerous porn videos. Sources further disclosed that he misused some of the IDs and sent obscene and threatening e-mails and SMS to mobile numbers of women, causing them deep mental agony. In this case also the accused demanded hefty amount from the girl and threatened her that if she fails to comply he will upload her morphed porn videos on the internet. A case against him was lodged on May 22 with the Verka Chowk Police and it was during the course of investigation, the accused was tracked down by the Cyber crime experts of Punjab police. |
