| Pawan Memorial Cricket: Lion, Shiva Club win ties | | | AKHNOOR, June 23: Shiva Cricket Club and Lion Star Club won their respective matches to advance into the ongoing Pawan Memorial (Twenty20) Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School, here.
In the first match of the day, DAV Attackers defeated Shiva Club by 35 runs. Batting first, DAV set a target of 139 runs for five, which, in reply, Shiva Club could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 103 runs in 17 overs. Pankaj was declared man of the match for his unbeaten innings of 36-ball 49 runs.
Later, in another match of the day, Lion Star Club trounced YDCC Jammu by four wickets. Earlier, YDCC lost all wickets for 157 runs in 19.1 overs. In reply, Lion Star chased the target in 19.2 overs for the loss of six wickets.
Vinal was declared man of the match for taking three wickets and 53 runs innings played by him. This match was officiated by Jimy Magotra, Sham Singh Langeh as umpires and Lucky as scorer.
