| JSM seeks delimit of Assembly Constituencies | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 24:Jammu State Morcha(JSM) has urged the Jammu & Kashmir Government to delimit the assembly constituencies and re-fix the same according to population and area in whole of the state within limited time framed without any pretext so that people of Jammu can enjoy the fruits of political empowerment which they have been denied since independence of India.
In a meeting held today and attended by Chandra Uday Sharma, Nathu Ram Gupta, Surjeet Singh and Vishav Bandhu Gupta and presided over by its Vice President H.B. Khajuria, the leaders of JSM pointed out that the people of Jammu province have been brutally discriminated and may be going to treated like that in all respects because of unfair and undesired concentration of power in the hands of Kashmiri leaders in connivance with the power Centre in Delhi which ever party it was or it is or it will be.
Sharma in the meeting pointed out that many commissions and committees like Gejender Gadkar / Wazir commission etc were formed on struggles and agitation by the people of Jammu but their recommendations were always kept in cold storage.
They said there is discrimination in every field, may be education, employment , agriculture, horticulture, electricity and water supply, tourism refugees or providing of funds for Jammu province or any thing else. Jammu Central University which was again promised on agitation by Jammu ,people has become a mirage only”.
He appealed to all the leaders of Jammu province of all political parties not to be sycophants for the sake of power and personal; nefits and stop enjoying doles at the cost of interests of Jammu Province and strive to get justice for Jammu, if that justice is still denied as is being denied now then all should join the struggle for reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir state into three distinct states of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh (UT) with independent Chief Ministers. The leaders said that it is their experiences and strong belief that Jammu and Ladkah will never get justice under Kashmiri Leaders. It is for the Kashmiri and Indian Leadership to prove JSM leaders wrong if they have desire and will to do so lest Jammu would also be forced to go for militant way if the peaceful way leads no where.
