| Tanker crushes woman to death | | | JAMMU, June 24: A woman was crushed to death by a speeding oil tanker at Digiana here today.
She was identified as Bachno Devi (46), wife of Hans Raj of Rajpura, Bakshi Nagar.
Police said the woman was walking by the roadside when the oil tanker (JK02AD/5329) ran over her, resulting in her instant death.
Brake failure of the vehicle was stated to be the reason behind the incident.
After post-mortem at the hospital, the body was handed over to her family for last rites.
Police had registered a case in this connection.
