| RS panel discusses ‘implementation of assurances’ with CS | | | SRINAGAR, JUNE 24- Rajya Sabha Committee on government assurances headed by its Chairman Birendra Prasad Baishya held a meeting with Chief Secretary Madhav Lal here today.
The committee is here to examine the implementation of assurances held out by Ministers on the floor of the House.
The meeting also discussed status of various matters especially related to the restoration of damaged temples, rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, protection of tribal culture and host of other issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
The Rajya Sabha Committee also held a separate meeting with the representatives of RBI, State Bank of India, J&K Bank and NABARD.
Rajya Sabha Committee members, Shadi Lal Batra, Narendra Budania and Avinash Rai Khanna, Joint Secretary S.K. Ganguly, Director Rajya Sabha Secretariat S.K. Tripathi, Principal Secretary Home B. R. Sharma, Commissioner Secretary Tourism Atul Dulloo, Commissioner Secretary GAD M.S.Khan, Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare Jeet Lal Gupta, Representatives of Home affairs, tribal affairs and cultural affairs and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
