Bring recruitment rules anomalies to our notice: LA panel

SRINAGAR, JUNE 24: Legislative Assembly Committee on Subordinate Legislation has called upon officials to bring in its notice anomaly in recruitment rules, if any of their respective departments and autonomous bodies.
The Committee, which met here under the Chairmanship of M. Y. Tarigami recommended separate website for J&K Assembly to keep general people posted about business and proceedings of the Assembly. This, the Committee observed would help to strengthen democratic system of the State further.
The Committee asked the concerned officers of Assembly Secretariat to seek a copy of recruitment rules/act from Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd. for its examination. The Committee also directed the concerned officers to seek report about the working of such Committees in different States of the country as well as Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Legislators, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Baldev Raj, Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani and Ch. Zulfkar Ali gave their suggestions to make the system more transparent and accountable.
