Kashmiri separatists plead for Indo-Pak talks with right vision & direction | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 25 (KIP):-Describing the recent urge for resolving bilateral problems through dialogue Kashmiri separatists have stated that this time both India and Pakistan "are moving with right vision and direction." Referring to the two-day talks between the Indian and Pakistani foreign secretaries in Islamabad, which end on Friday, senior APHC leader Abdul Gani Bhat, said "We are happy and hopeful that the two sides started showing willingness to resolve the bilateral problems and issues through dialogue." He said that what was needed was sincerity and flexibility and "we are happy that this time the two sides have been moving in right direction and with a right vision. "He made it clear that issues like the Kashmir and water cannot be resolved in a two-day or three-day talks." Sustained and purposeful dialogue is needed for resolving various issues that have dampened the relations between India and Pakistan, Bhat said. He and other leaders said that there was no escape from dialogue and added "we are happy that the two sides agreed to have another round of talks between the foreign ministers anytime during the next month. Bhat said that "we want the talks to be a continuous process. If there are prolonged gaps it can not help the two nations to promote peace and friendly ties." He further said that "We are also happy that the two foreign secretaries discussed all major issues including that of Kashmir during the two-day talks." Bhat said that since India and Pakistan made a commitment to fight terrorism jointly it would help the two sides to reduce the trust deficit which was needed for the peaceful resolution of various disputes and issues that have destabilized peace in the south Asian region." Another senior separatist leader, Molvi Abbas Ansari pleaded for immediate steps for reducing trust deficit between New Delhi and Islamabad. He said that "We are ready to lend any helping hand in promoting friendly ties between India and Pakistan." He hoped that the ongoing bilateral dialogue would be later on supplemented with the triangular parleys in which leaders who represent the aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir were involved.
