RSC for promotion of indigenous games | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 25: Rural Sports Club (RSC) in a meeting held here today called upon the government to pay more attention of promotion of indigenous games like wrestling, kho-kho and kabaddi in rural belts so as to tap the talent at grass root level. The meeting which was chaired by Club president, Narinder Singh also appreciated the efforts of wrestling associations in the state, especially J&K Wrestling Association of which international wrestler, Dushyant Sharma is general secretary. He lauded the efforts of Sharma, who soon after holding the charge of prestigious position of president Indian Wrestling Federation, held national championship in Jammu thereby providing the young talent a platform to excel and learn. The members present in the meeting urged the government to invest in wrestling to achieve desired results at the national and international level.
