| Div com reviews arrangements in Ramban | | Amarnath Yatra 2011 | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAMBAN, JUNE 25- Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal today visited Ramban and reviewed arrangements for Shri Amarnath Yatra at an officers’ meeting.
Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Bhat gave a detailed resume of arrangements taken by the district administration for smooth conduct of yatra .
Earlier, he along with Deputy Commissioner, Ramban inspected NH-1A from Patnitop to Ramban besides he also inspected Community Hall, Maitra, Ramban and community Hall Ramban town where Yatris are scheduled to stay during Yatra.
Superintendent of Police, Ramban gave details about the Security arrangement made in and around the district for safety of yatris. The Divisional Commissioner also interacted with public representatives who projected local demands.
They demanded uninterrupted power supply during yatra days, particularly during night hours.
The Div Com instructed Chief Engineer, EM&RE Jammu to ensure the same.
On way back, Dr Kotwal also visited Gurdwara, Baghu Nallah, Batote where he reviewed the arrangement for 58th Annual Sant Samagan (JAG).
Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary Assistant Commissioner (Rev.) Ramban Tehsildar, Ramban also accompanied the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
