| One day Orientation Programme for KAS 2010 held at JU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JUNE 25-In continuation to its efforts for encouraging the students to excel in competitive examinations, the Ascent Group in collaboration with the Department of Life Learning, University of Jammu today organized a “One day free Orientation Programme” at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium for selected candidates for interview of KAS 2010.The Orientation programme was aimed at orienting the students to qualify for interview of KAS 2010. Professor Varun Sahni, Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu, in his presidential address, elaborated the road map to success in Civil Services Examination and guided the students for taking up both the central and state administrative exams. While interacting with KAS aspirants, he encouraged them for what they have achieved and advised them to stick to their goals.
Former Chairman J&K Public Services Commissioner, Mr. Mohammad Shafi Pandit, shared his vast expertise of the administrative field with the students. He also guided the students regarding interview skills etc. Earlier, Director, Department of Learning, Dr. Poonam Dhawan, stressed upon the importance of such programmes and role of DLL in it. During the interactive session, the participants appreciated the programme which provided them informative knowledge in an adroit manner.
