| Crime Branch organizes anti-drug rally | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 25
Continuing with its anti-drugs campaign, the Crime Branch Jammu, in collaboration with J&K Society for Promotion of Youth & Masses, a national NGO working in the field of drug abuse prevention, an Anti-Drug Rally was organized from the office of Crime Branch, Jammu.
Additional SP, Crime branch Ranjit Singh Sambyal and Secretary, JKSPYM Rakesh Kumar Thakur flagged off the rally.
The participants in the rally were carrying various types of pamphlets and brochures on ill effects of drugs.
The rally, which started from Panjtirthi, passed through the various bazaars of the city including Indira Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Bikram Chawk, University Gate, Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Canal Road, Talab Tillo, Bakshi Nagar and Janipur.
There was continuous speech by volunteers of JKSPYM and staff of Crime Branch to sensitize the general masses on ill effects of drugs. More than 10000 pamphlets having messages and information on drugs and its ill effects were distributed among the general masses.
On the occasion Ranjit Singh mentioned that he really appreciates the efforts made by the staff of crime branch and volunteers and staff of the NGO and to curb this menace from society efforts like this shall be repeated on a regular basis
