| MLA Nowshera demands early construction of Jammu-Poonch rail line | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 25:
MLA Nowshera Constituency and senior leader of National Conference Radhay Sham Sharma, through a statement released here today has urged upon Chief Minister for his intervention to pursue with Union Minister of Railways for early starting the construction works on the already approved Jammu - Poonch Railway Line Project.
Sharma said this vital project shall definitely help in socio-economic development of the general public of both the twin hilly districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
MLA also appealed to Chief Minister also to intervene in getting sanctioned direct rail services from Jammu to Bangalore, Chandigarh and Dehradun, for the convenience of passengers.
Sharma said in absence of such above said direct trains from Jammu and vice a versa the passengers, traders, student community, Army and Para-military personnel, patients face great hardships in breaking their journey at Delhi for Bangalore, at Ambala for Chandigarh and at Saharanpur or Haridwar for Dehradun.
