HC directs CE to allow AE to work at his present place of posting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 25: High court vacation judge Justice JP Singh today directed respondents to allow PWD assistant engineer (AE) Kuldeep Kumar to work at his present place of posting. The court directive came in a writ petition filed by Kumar against the June 13, 2011, government order for his transfer to PMGSY. He challenged this order, saying he had been transferred four times in less than three years. The court said the petitioner might also file representation with PMGSY chief engineer (CE) within a week's time, seeking consideration for his retention in Jammu district. The representation would be considered by CE for passing appropriate orders, as warranted in the interest of administration within four weeks. Until such orders were passed, the petitioner should be permitted by the respondents to work at his present place of posting, the court directed. In the petition, the AE submitted that he had already worked as junior engineer and assistant engineer in PMGSY for a period of almost two years from 2006 to 2008 and thereafter within a period 17 months, he was transferred twice in R&B department.
