6/25/2011 11:01:11 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 25: Three bodies were today recovered by the police from Chenab river in Doda district.
Police teams recovered three bodies from Chenab at Assar area this afternoon after locals informed that some bodies were seen floating in the river, sources said
One of them has been identified as that of Sardar Darshan Singh of Batote in Udhampur district, they said, adding that the two other bodies are yet to be identified.
It is presumed that these bodies are of three persons who were washed away in the flash-floods triggered by a cloud burst in Assar-Baggar area of the district on the night of June 9."It would be exactly known after the identification of all of them whether they are the same missing persons," a police official said.
