Skill development programme will help in self-employment

JAMMU, June 25: A skill development programme on multi phone servicing was inaugurated at Rural self employment training institute RSETI, Udhampur by Manohar lal DDM, NABARD, Udhampur.
The programme is sponsored by NABARD. The programme aims at providing training to 25 rural unemployed youth belonging to various part of Udhampur. The programme also aims at preparing the trainees to start their economic units or employment in the market.
Kishore Sadhotra, LDM, SBI, Udhampur and Amarjeet Singh Raina, Director, RSETI were also present on the occasion. At the very outset, DDM NABARD said that as the economy is growing fast, there are common problems pertaining to most of the areas of the country that include high drop our rate from schools at various stages, disguised unemployment in agricultural sector as it does not provide employment through out the year and the pressure in turn leads to many complications limited scope for government to engage all the educate masses in government sector because of obvious reasons etc.
And these programmers are a step in that very direction wherein rural unemployed youth is empowered through imparting Skill development in various activities having potential for income generation in rural as well as urban areas.
Speaking on the occasion he said that most of the people/ households in rural and urban areas are in possession of Mobile Phone from rural areas get mobile phone servicing from shops/ repair centers in semi- urban and the rural people will be happy that such service is available at their doorstep as inconvenience is involved in getting the repair done from these areas.
DDM, NABARD also said that this is the second programme being sponsored by NABARD during the current financial year Kishore Sadhotra , LDM; Udhampur encouraged the candidates to learn more and more during the training and translate the classroom learning into practical shape after the programme.

This will enable them in attaining self employment. Amarjeet Singh Raina, welcomed the trainees hoped that they will be benefited out of this programme. He also thanked NABARD for providing consistent support to the institute since its inception.
